Who wants a Clean House?

Do any of you watch this show? Good Grief! I watched this show the last couple of days during my hand quilting adventure. Last night they had this "contest" winner show on for the Messiest House in the country. OMG! Do people really live like that? Ok...I'm naive? Maybe I am. Do I have clutter? Of course I have clutter. But...but....I'm at a loss for words. How could anyone let it get this bad? How is that possible? I realize this isn't quilty, but I'm just really thown by this. Yea, I admit that I laughed during the show. And ... almost got sick, too. How do you not clean your own toilet for months? I don't get it. Like I said, I'm not a clean freak. I've got a storage room, actually two, that need some organizing, but I guarantee there is nothing "growing" in there. I guess that's all I can say about that and now I'm moving on......
I hand quilted on my trial cheater quilt all day yesterday. I have a meeting at the bank today to re-evaluate a line of credit I have, so I can't sew/quilt til later today. And, I suppose laundry should win out when I get back.
I'm so impressed with all the Survivor Quilters in the competition. All of you Ladies are rocking the house down. (GO, JEN!) Kristie and I are not officially in the competition but we're hanging tough anyway. (GO, JEN!) And I'll just leave you with this...Don't let your house get cluttered. Apparently there are people out there who don't know this....ahahhahhahahahahhahahaaaaa

Unbelievable. I think if that lady doesn't get on the show, she needs flylady bad. I always wonder when I see any of those shows if they went back in a year, what they would find.

There is a show here in CANADA called "How clean is your house?" hosted by two brits. They have gone back on occasion and to much dismay the place is a disaster again.

My attic (of which we never use) has become a storage yard for the unused for years and I could probably make a small fortune if I had a yardsale. I only need find the time to sift through the stuff. As for my main living quarter I'd be stressed beyond words to have my house is such disarray.

I've been in homes like that and I swear the people themselves don't see the problem.

I babysat for a friend of a friend of a friend once on referral as a teenager. You could smell the pet urine before entering the premises. I was absolutely disgusted and didn't partake in eating with the children when I made their supper as there was dog hair EVERYWHERE.

Needless to say I never allowed myself to be available for strangers again.

These poor people have severe issues, and they need help not ridicule. I didn't get to see this particular episode, but I hope it had a happy ending. And they are going to need Flylady and counseling for the long term.
