Yeah....I did say 1.5" strips......

In answer to Jen's (http://cre8tivequilter.blogspot.com/) question of: "Are you NUTS??? Seriously? 1.5" strips? LOL. " I would say the answer it Uh huh....I think I am. I'm up to 15 blocks that are 8"x 8" big now. I think that's just a bit under 1000 one inch squares. I was thinking yesterday that I would frame each block, but now, I'm leaning towards just putting them all together without anything else. I'm also concerned about my sanity at this point. Mostly because I'm not tired of them yet. I even cut up more strips for a bigger variety of darks and lights. When will this madness end? LOL
On the water front.....ahahhahhaaa.....no pun was intended.... Miss Dig came this morning, late of course, as they were due here at 8 and arrived at 10, and marked my gas lines in the front yard with little yellow flags. Then the well men showed up with the heavy equipment and dug up the front yard. New pipe is in and I have water again. The insurance guy says they'll cover it after the deductible of course and that will help. I hope the carpet doesn't have to be replaced. Well, maybe I do. Maybe new flooring down there would be good? But this is really nice berber and I like it. On the other hand, nice hardwoods like I have in the family room would be nice too. Hmmmmm....... That's sounding nice but like too much work to me. Just to move everything out of there would be too much work. We'll just wait and see what the insurance guy has to say tomorrow.
Happy quilting......

See, maybe that's where I'm going wrong on the whole scrap quilt thing. Maybe if I cut stuff fmall enough it would be ok! So the general idea is dark light dark light? Hmmmm. Maybe I should take insanity down another notch to 1 inch strips. GIGGLE!!!

You might want to think about new carpeting due to the mold, mildew, type thing.............health is important.

I love how your blocks are turning out. I must say that you have alot of nerve doing those little pieces. They are just beautiful.

Glad you finally got your water problem fixed. I know how it is, seems we always have water problems.

Yes, we quilters do get carried away sometimes. Thanks for the kind words yesterday. I really didn't think that I offended anyone and the replies weren't all that bad, I just don't like making anyone feel bad. Anyway, it one way to get me to experiment with quilting using my sewing machine. And I will do that as soon as this mystery is completed. Hang in there and aren't insurance adjusters just the greatest? Renee

I like your postage stamp blocks!

I've been tossing 1.5" squares into a shoebox. When it's full I'll create something akin to your project.

Ohh my gosh those are tiny squares. I did a mystery quilt with Debbie Caffrey with tiny squares...I think they came out to 1/2" squares when finished but I don't remember...just that they were tiny! I give you a lot of credit! I didn't like the tiny squares.

I like the blocks without the borders...I think it looks really scrappy and well cool. Very nice choices on your scrap colors...it looks good together.

I did like the black for sashings, you could make a cornerpost with more of your squares.
