A bag....finally

I finally made a bag. I've had bag pattern issues. Everytime I read one, my head goes dizzy and I feel ill. We had craft day with my friends and, with direction, I made a bag....wanna see it? Do ya really?.....OK....
It's not perfect. It's my first, but I'm tickled to death about it. I am planning others now. I'm not even intimidated by a new pattern at this point. We'll see how long that lasts....ahahahhahahaa
I fell in love with the last mystery quilt Bonnie did at Quiltville.com. Double Delight. I even love the name. I said I wasn't going to do this one, since I have a lot of UFO's laying around right now. You know, I am running out of places to hide the UFO's. Hmmmmm....I'll have to look around for more empty space....giggle!
Any who....back to the DD mystery. I had to do it after I had a look at it. It's a boatload of Square in a square blocks, which I had never made before, but I've conquered that now. So...here it is so far.....
I've only got these four blocks completed, but I had to see how they would look together. It's a lot of square in a square blocks and nine patches that all finish at 3.5". It took a long time for me to make them all, but I think it will be worth it. I just love this design. And now....it's time to move to the sewing room. Yippeeee.....
Later.......

I like your bag. I haven't tried one yet, but I'd like to soon. The square in a square is going to be a beautiful quilt!! Makes me want to start one, but I promised myself I wouldn't start anything new until I finish some of the stuff I'm working on!!

Great job on both...you deserve a blue ribbon or a box of chocolates for both of them.

I really like your color selection on the bag.

Have a fun weekend!

I've been making the bow tuck tbag for awhile. I love the pattern. I just did a special order one for a diaper bag. All of Penny's patterns are easy to follow. Hop over to my blog and see some of the ones I've done. I love your fabric selection.

Loving the bag and the fabrics you chose! I have tried patterns for bags and never could do it - wanted to pull my hair out! Now I just try to figure it out in my head or on paper and make them that way. The ones I make are more simple due to my lack of brain power, but I have hair left when I am done :D Great job!!
Your DD is beautiful! Good luck & can't wait to see the finished result!

Oh, I love how wonderful your DD looks! I didn't attempt this one, I got scared off by the complicated math! (or maybe it wasn't as scarey as I thought) But it sure looks nice in your fabrics!
Cheers,
Dionne
