Prayers please....

I know it's been a long, long time since I've posted on here. If any of you remember, my friend, Val, has been fighting cancer for a long time. The cancer has now been found in her brain and liver. Hospice has been called in and they don't expect her to survive more than a couple of months. Also, they expect the cancer to cause her cognitive skills to be gone within two or three weeks. This was told to us last week. I would appreciate prayers for her to be at peace. If you could throw one in for me to say the right things to her, I could use that. Thanks in advance.

On the good side, if there is one, we took our Sunday night church service to her house last Sunday. It was one of the most healing and wonderful moments I have ever been a part of. We sang songs of praise and Val was able to have the Lords' supper. It was a very moving time with some laughing, crying and every emotion in between. I think many of us needed us and it helped make a lot of things clearer.

Hugs to you all!
Regina

Prayers for Val and for you as well. It's hard watching someone have so little left and being helpless to save them. Praying for healing comfort and peace. Love and Hugs!

This is a poem on a card I have ready to send to a friend who is also in the last stages of a long battle with cancer. She is 50.

"Difficult things can cause us to ask,
"Why did the happen?'
But if we're trusting in Christ
we never need to ask,
"How could He let this happen?"

God may never reveal
all of His reasons to us,
but He has revealed
His character to us.

His character assures us that
He never makes mistakes,
is never uncaring,
and the He never separates
Himself from our need. "

The need you face is great,
but the grace that is yours
in Christ is even greater.

May your heart and your faith
stay fixed upon Him
as you go through this difficulty,

Be assured the He
is holding your hand
and will not let go!

Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Don't worry about saying the right thing.......just be there.
